The Exorcist is a very clever movie, and to some people it is scary, to others it is not. It depends what type of film you find scary. Personally, I think movies the Friday the 13th and all it's sequels, aren't scary in the slightest. Slasher movies just don't scare me and to be honest, after awhile they get boring! I prefer films like The Ring and Blaire Witch Project 2. Sure the first Blaire Witch Project was 'OK' but it left lots of the "scary stuff" to your mind, and didn't really scare me much at all. The second one however, was a lot more graphic with it's horror, and continued the Blaire Witch Story extremely well.

anyone seen Final Destination 2 i think thats a pretty good movie in the horror section. Fisher rent it and watch the special features on the dvd it will explain something to you about horror but back to the movie. some of the best thought out ways to kill people in that movie. makes ya really think someone is not quite right in the head

personal i like horror movies that have a sh|t load of blod shed and gur.....Evil Dead,1,2,3 are pretty good with blood and alittle gur, but i think evil dead was more comedy then horror. the newest horror movie that i think is good is ghost ship paltorgist or how ever you spell it was a great horror movie of its time aswell

Really, what I expect out of a horror movie is something that scares ths socks off of me. Either if it's a psychological horror or what, that's what I'm looking for. Sadly, I've yet to find a horror/"scary" movie that has actually got me up and about.
Most things are just rather dull and boring when it comes to the horror-movie scene. I guess that's just me.

Maybe your once fragile little mind has been desensitised through years of programming, and life has just transitioned into one big blurrrr

the kind of horror movies that "scare the socks off" are he ones that are based on true storys because it gets your mind woundering about it and all that stuff or its just me is having a brain meltdown from learning to much in so little time the are remaking the exorist or what ever u spell it as....can't think of the right name right off the top of my head but they are"Recreating It" to make it more like what the true story really was, this time its going to be the Boy telling the story that really was invaded by the demon....blah blah blah

the 6th sense was a great movie I thought, wasnt scarey in the fact that many are but it was a different type of horror, more a psychological thriller
