as u can see i my pic below is it possible in fireworks mx to get rid of the white backround and just have the rounded shape ?

Just get the background color from the forum and change the white into that ;D

Just get the background color from the forum and change the white into that ;D Wouldn't work Threads are 2 different colours

in the transparent options i have
No Transparency Index Transparency Alpha Transparency
i have tried all but still wont work ?
could thew problem be that im exporting as gif ?

Try saving as PNG, but one thing you might try is using a transparent canvas when you start and not white

Use the marquee tool to highlight round the image then go to image/crop?

Well oddly enough I see the problem Lazer is having. Preview shows it as transparent... does as well if you open it on your computer... soon as you upload the image it fills in the color Never really used Fireworks... not much of a graphics guy either. Not sure whats happening
