MSN is making a come-back.. there are more and more people coming back each day. Sure, there are a fair amount of "kiddies" but that's to be expected. I was thinking.. maybe we could re-open %#extreme\bteam - I dont expect many people to go with me on this, I'm just interested how many of the former owners (Webby, FXN, Hans, Game etc) would be interested? Meh.. oh well ^_^

I'm not one of the former owners, nor a former regular visitor, but I don't think it's a bad idea, even when the room isn't very busy, u can still redirect ppl to xt.proboards18.com ... they will get help (when needed) fast enough on there and the number of forum members may grow
*edit ... this board is under the wrong root ... eXtreme Team -> Other -> Requests and Suggestions (see in ur own tree above this message )

I dont think there should be a divide, if we could all go back and legally then maybe yes. But seems msn has no plans of making it free, no.

There are ways.. Do you remember back when MSN was free? We were connecting "illegally", as 3rd party clients were not supported. It's kind of the same now.. Tewl / Sie / others know what I'm talking about.
/me coughs & thinks he needs to get everyone in one place to discuss this in private ^_^

im not stupid mike, i do know. Only difference being the way you people were connecting before was fraud (I know you found another way). And it will only be a matter of time till msn stop *that other way*
And frankly, i wouldnt want to go back due to the stupid flooders. Its much more civilised on ircd.

IF MSN decides to make it free, then yes, but not at this moment....

Tewl / Sie / others know what I'm talking about. There's a big difference, connecting to MSN via a third party client or script may be against their T.O.S but it's not illegal, however evading the payment of a chargeable service or providing false or incorrect information to access that service would be.

If everyone was in one place, it wouldn't be private would it?

Yeah man, but what I mean is since it's become clear a lot of people have found a way to connect without getting into all the illegal stuff I figured maybe we could start again on MSN. Hell, we could even have the rooms on both MSN and the 12 Stones server. I was gonna start a vote in the Private board but it's been destroyed

The private board wasn't destroyed, it was archived as there didn't seem a need for it anymore and nobody had posted for a month, typical you want to use it the day after it was removed
If you want me to re-open that board for discussion of the MSN rooms possibily re-opening for paid subscribers, that's no problem, but as for evading the subscription i really don't think it's something that should even be considered regardless of the way it's done.
I still think you're missing the point, as an example, lets imagine for a moment MSN chat was say, a cinema.
Using your logic, submitting false information to somehow get a ticket without paying would be wrong, but simply breaking in through a backdoor would be ok?

Loon, I cant fault you for your analogies ;D
If you could open the board that would be great, even if it's just for this one vote between the owners. The only reason I was thinking about the whole "evading subscription" thing was because someone was asking Tewl if he was going to release his client which does that.. I guess it's down to the people who visit the room on MSN how they do it, but I can see your point.
Question Rephrased - If anyone subscribes to MSN and would like to see %#extreme\bteam re-opened on MSN, please leave a message!
I still wouldnt mind a vote though...
