i suggest you do learn C++, C is a lot older and C++ is known as 'A Better C' and nearly all code on the net to do with programming in a language that begins with C, is C++ or C#. Like you dont wanna go an learn someonethig old, after an update has been released, even if that update is 13 years old And there is a lot more general help around for c++ programmers too.

Me likes old whahaha And it's a very handy basic 4 programming under *NIX, because all that is C And i don't think it's much a problem dumping C and C++ togheter in a file

Well thats your choice then. But i still think you would be better off trying c++, but i see your point. you can dump them both together.
but note, quite a lot of C commands have changed in C++ so watch out, what you learn mightnt work in most compilers cos it might be updated.

c++ is old too anyway, lol ...first came out as "c with classes" in 1980 (same year "real" c++ was born)
