Sorry but I really need help, I am now working with a project, I am creating an INTRUSION DETECTION SYSTEM.... I have a few questions regarding Visual C++ programming I hope that you guys can help me br] Pleaase reply to me at cherubihm1982@yahoo.com thank you for your help:- 1. How do you all link two forms together in Visual C++? It’s like you have a button in the Main Menu form, after you click this button you go to form 2, how do you do it, can you please direct me to the ways or tutorials for doing this 2. How do you execute an .exe file from a button of a form, please give me some light on this? (in Visual C++)? 3. I am a newbie in this h* world, and I wish to join you hoep to
learn something from you, I am now currently a degree student in
Malaysia(www.apiit.edu.my), and I am working on a Final Year project. I
am working on an Network Intrusion Detection System, so I figure to
catch a thief, I must first be a thief , so I took up h*, but as I
learn more and more abbout h*, I came to love it very much, I hope
we could be freinds, and you cna teach me more, I wish to exchange
knwoledge. I am looking for a developement team of people who wish to join me in
this Intrsion Detection System project I am working this project on
visual C++ ,,and I really hope to get people to work wiht me ,, if you

For quesion number 1 If u refer to a Dialog as a form then CMyDialog dlg; dlg.DoModal(); If its a view.. then br] For question number 2 br] use the ShellExecute function.... This is the prototype br] HINSTANCE ShellExecute( HWND hwnd, LPCTSTR lpOperation, LPCTSTR lpFile, LPCTSTR lpParameters, LPCTSTR lpDirectory, INT nShowCmd ); Here is goe to use it br]HINSTANCE hInt; hInt=ShellExecute(m_hWnd,"open",strProgram,NULL,strDirectory,SW_SHOW) For question number 3 br] It depends in what features u r using.... I mostly have used the InstallShield Express that ships with Visual C++. U need to include all components that your application uses, like OCX, etc. Leonardo
