u can create/edit/save batch files in any text editor. Just enter the command and save as (with quotes) "filename.bat"

Then what EXACTLY are you looking for? If you are looking to find someone to actually write the batch file for you, you might be out of luck. I dont know if you bothered to read any of those... almost sure you didnt because a couple of those pages have links for exactly what you want. To rename a file code is REN oldname newname home7.inet.tele.dk/batfiles/msdos7/ren1.htm

Did you bother reading it? Like ive said in my first post. Not something you can just make with 2 lines. I dont ever mind helping people, when they try to help themselves. You are asking for a link to download a batch file that does it for you. How does that do you any good? why even use a batch file? there are tons of other ways to do it. But you wanted a batch file so I posted lnks to try and offer help with that area. Ah. deleted your post

I'm exactly looking for a batch command that renames 10 scooter - weekend !_mp3xplosion.mp3 to 10 scooter - weekend !.mp3
edit: *batch file because it's fast and easy to edit* And yep I've read some of the links and downloaded the programs and none did what I'm looking for.

ok. DOS Does not see spaces use quotes for spaces in file names. that give you an idea why it " doesnt work " ? I assume you are on 9x system. Anyway it wouldn't work, you have to use short path format. I suggest you use a setup program. Inno with Istool shell on top of it does a very good job. Setup factory is also good, but it's not free.
