Right, I used Reshack and a couple of dll's (mainly ktools) to alter the icons on the switchbar and create a statusbar (both at the bottom of my screen). Being new to dll's and stuff I wasnt quite sure what to do when after a while running mIRC the status and switchbar start to mess up (ie. icons disappear, then the text, then if I have a window over it and close that I get a ghost image of that window where the 2 'bars should be) I thought it was because of some of my remotes so I unloaded everything but my connection, theme and statusbar.mrc, but I'm still havin the same problem. I had an idea from somewhere to debug my script but I'm not sure whether that would sort it or how I would go about doing that. Any ideas?

Yes always debug. that tells you where the problem is coming from and what the problem is. But its hard to debug with dll's, im not sure if you can.

How would I go about doing it just for my script in general? Is there a tutorial / help file anywhere?
Thanx..

When i write code, and it doesnt work. like that profile reader i made (that slick re-released), it didnt work first time.
What i did, was. at every stage like when it recognized the PUID, and after it wrote to the file and when every socket event happerned i added an echo.
Then i would wait for it to happen. See how far it got up to.. like
** Getting PUID for w0rd ** Socket Opened (profilescan.w0rd) ** Got PUID ** Written PUID To File ** Socket 2 Opened (profilescan2.w0rd) ** Found Re-Direct Link ** Opened Socket 3
and it would stop, so i knew my error was in socket 3 opening, and i could fix it then.
Just echo stuff and you can see where your script is halting and therefore the error is there.
