Started this cos I was bored.. just wondering if it's popular or not. I use Windows Media Player and generally listen to the MSN Hip Hop / MSN Rock channels.. although there are so many other stations available from all over the world. The only dis-advantage I can see is the adverts every 10 minutes, but to counter that you can skip songs that you dont like.. edit* oh yeah, you cant change the quality of the streaming unless you subscribe nevermind though, lol. Lets hear your views

Equinox, you have to go on the 24k stream thats why it buffers, 56k stream means 56k downstream, i.e. broadband users. 24k is more orientated for Dialup. There is a whole world of net radio out there, most use shoutcast and the listings of the majority of these stations plus the software to create your own station is available at (http://www.shoutcast.com). But bare in mind that a lot of these stations won't play too much copyrighted music, as the RIAA and other music organisations are quick to sue users who do it.

I HATE it, it should be banned! It's pointless and one of those thing that just really ANNOYS me because it doesn't work properly. Things that don't work efficiently probably annoy me too much...
And now I've added my pointless two cents I shall leave!

WTF DO YOU EXPECT? *whoops caps lock*
If you are on a fast line, and they're broadcasting at 128k its the same as a CD, and yes there is a point, you get to hear music from bands you haven't heard of before. Oh but wait, you expect to be able to listen to CD quality on dialup? PFFFT
