Ok this is ticking me off now I cant get Viper to work at all, I thought the 3 passport boxes at the bottom updated themselves when you joined a room but mine dont, they simply say "null", I've downloaded the ocx setup I needed from the harry Potterer Group, registered the OCX's in Viper's menu to "fix any guest null problems", but I still get this d**n message I've taken a pic as i think thats the only way I can show you guys what I mean, please help me because I've used Viper for so long and this is like the first time I've ever had problems with making it work

Ok.. my mistake I've fixed this problem by using an external grabber to fill in those 3 passport info boxes, I'm just wondering now if there's any way they can be filled in automatically like the old Viper used to..? Other than that it all works fine Edit ~ Sorry.. on closing Viper and re-opening, I find my passprt info has gone again There must be a way to save / auto-update? Edit 2 ~ Lol.. I found it, "Save Settings", yes?

Whatever After all that, I downloaded the sample text file for Viper's response, but I cant get them to work.. I know why, the Response window on the Viper control board wont log what anyone is saying, even though I have the following ticked br] - on me.nk$ off
- Response
- Response Text File
- Response DB
This is strange, because the Database worked ok.. Any help appreciated

Hey Sly, After reading a few tutorials last night i realised I should untick the Response DB box.. but still, Response file wont work and the window under those boxes on the control panel wont display what users say (indicating it's not working) I cant understand what I'm doing wrong!

The box not working concerns me If that isnt working then the monitoring and reponses becomes impossible(I Believe thats what that is for ). I would try a new fresh download of Viper and possibly vb files and mdac if you need those(me/2000 and up should already have the mdac files needed). I know thats a pain but thats a bad failure and not sure what has happened...

Yeah, I'm also having trouble altering numbers in the Kick/Warn Tab of Viper I'll try downloading those system files and see what happens, then a fresh install..

Ok, no luck with those two options I'm not really sure what to do, the weird part is I had the little response window logging text as people were talking for about 5 minutes yesterday before the problems started.. I have everything ticked that should be, what else could it be

Thats not entirely correct... if you really want to check if response are working or not, get through the browser with another name or you can use a script.
Send me your vsettings.ini and response files, I'll check them. If they they work on my PC than something is wrong with your system files or the exe itself.

You can pm me, just at the start of each file quote the file in double angle brackets like <<vsettings.ini>>
