found this little plug-in in my travels and have had it for a while. only recently have begun playing with it tho and thought some others might find it interesting.
it's called sinedots and you can find the download on this page: www.philipp-spoeth.de/
lots of tutes can be found also, you can get some really cool effects
there is also a sinedots II which is different and also worthwhile having a look at.
