Pushbutton?? Do you mean 'hit' in the 'button' symbol?

I never try Components..
on (release) { gotoAndStop(2); // Number of frame 2 }
Normal that is frame 1. When you load, stay on frame 1 and await orders. If someone clicks on your pushbutton, then go to frame number 2 and stop there.

Meaning you need stop(); on frame 1

uh? No, he wants 'to go to another frame' not stop on frame 1'.
Meaning: If someone clicks on your pushbutton, then go to frame number 2 and stop there.
Well it does not have to be frame '2', depends what's number of frame you want go after click pushbutton.
goto - go to different/another frame
AndStop - after load frame then stop

When you load, stay on frame 1 and await orders. Meaning you need a stop(); to make it stay on frame 1...

Create your own buttons instead of using components.
Go to flashkit.com and look for basic button tutorials to learn how to make one.
On frame one put the "stop()", then add fr0st's code to your button, not a frame.. make sure you've got something on frame 2 like a movie or just a box, something simple.
It'll work fine.
