1. Showing of your private IP has nothing to do with blocking IP Grabbers. 2. ctcp technique doesn't work anymore, but that doesn't mean you can't get the IP by other technique.
LMAO....

Let me just clarify this,
MSN do not log or do anything to your IP at all! They simply use the Winsock LocalIP setting to display your computer's IP, which is why if you are on a LAN your internal IP address is shown, not your external.

If they ban one, they ban both. They run on the same authentication layers and format, just the scripts are more customizable and people are able to change/manipulate things around to their own desire. Just to let you know =)

bout scripts being more customisable...id say they're just more easily customisable...to use a mirc script u learn a simple scripting language. to write a vb client u needa learn a big programming language. ive just started writing a client and finding it a lot harder, but im hoping the end result will be better

Mike read my post above about why. It simply uses the localIP function, so it gets your computer IP, which IF you are connected directly to the internet is your External IP, otherwise its just an internal IP.

missunderstanding, vertigo.. ..for the one who codes something it is for sure the most customisably thing there is.. BUT if you really make a client that is as much cutomisable for the USER like mIRC eg is then congrats
