Saying everyone who uses vb rips it and calls it theirs is just wrong. how can someone say that to someone who spent countless hours making thier vb programs. the fact of the matter is that you cannot rip vb. if you get a function outta some source you were looking for its not ripping since the source was posted for your use. if an author didn't want people using his code he would never have released it. now for this rippers thing vb takes alot more time and patience than mirc even though not anywhere near c++ so just try and be encouraging to those who put alot of hard work into learning and creating their pieces of work

"now for this rippers thing vb takes alot more time and patience than mirc" i doubt it anyway =D (and i wouldn t call it ripping, you just didn t learn to code when using others code only, lol.. ..you learned to put together and compile code, that s it

yea z00ey your right and i stand corrected that its impossible to rip of course you can decompile but really its not a script where you change a few lines of code and can call it yours and have average scripters believe its yours. vb may not be the hardest thing to learn but its a step to more advanced and complicated langauges

so can mirc be.. ..if you really are interested in learning it (same with all stuff, lol)
..i just can t see the mIRC is smallest anymore, lol.. ..i m still a BIG mirc fan and to be honest, most of the ppl who used it and played with it can t do much creative things with it (allthough they used it for long times) - but funny that same ppl are able to make bots after a few days (if it s days at all, lol.. ..see VB section for examples, happens everyday).. ..so what shall i think about both "languages" (you can t really compare, i know)
note: i think every kind of learning is smart and this was not against all you ppl that learn VB, just meant to be a for good ole mirc too, lol

you can compare. if they made a bot in a few days its usually from an example of someone else. not to meantion thats just the connecting part. on mirc everyone already has that part done. bot making is not hard when you have refferences from people before you and as well i think if you making a bot a few days after getting vb you might have a problem. as one person in this process knows i can get mad when i tell them that using an integer cannot store text. but then they come to me with a function that has all integers and asks why it wont work z00ey for being right

VB code is much harder then mirc codeing true.. ripping will happen more in mirc coz its easy to rip ... on the other hand VB .... people rip becaause ther learning and need to use sum1 elses work as a tutorial or something to learn off slowly by building up and editing it but still give credit to the perso for the code snippet if u release it dont just be a snobby n00b and say u wrote the whole cod urself coz thats why people hate rippers because most are just doing it for attention sakes and to show off... ayways i dunno what im talking about heh o.0

k i was just askin... but sometimes code gets out without other people knowledge for example.. u let a person help u code well the person can give to someone else wich has no right to or maybe he was hacked and they got it out of his system.. but mostly yeah if stuff is open source i think the same thing applies as to scripts credits.... lata!
