You could use a prompt box to ask for a nickname, eg
<script type="text/javascript"> <!-- var nick = prompt ("Enter A Nickname ?","") --> </script>
and then call the variable like "NickName" VALUE=" +nick+ ">
* edit sorry, for roomname also just repeat it
<!-- var nick = prompt ("Enter A Nickname ?","") var room = prompt ("Enter A RoomName ?","") -->

bleh, VALUE=" "+nick+" "
and take out that extra </script> tag & you need a roomname

Loon's code works =P at least for me. Maybe your browser doesn't like whatever you're doing to it (*cough*).

Just look up a few lines, you pasted the same code I used. It might just because you're trying to load so many instances at once (eg: Guest Flooding) that your IE crashes...
