Maybe I am doing something wrong, but I can't get the FX Controls to work, including the Incoming welcomes, and the back from away messages. Is there an off/on switch to get it started? Also why is it I can't seem to make my personal font set. Why can't I see emoticons in the room? And where is my control to turn off/on my whisper? Thanks for any help.

Ok, the welcome message works fine, but you will not see it from shadow, you can see it if you enter the room though. The welcome back message does not work in shadow 2.0 beta. It does work in the new version but has not been released yet. A work around is to place in the raws editor, this line:
821:/privmsg $chan :welcome back $nick to $chan
ShadowFX 2.0beta does not support emoticons, the new version soon to be released will. To enable/disable incoming whispers, or kick for whispers, those options are on the General (ii) tab of the FX controls.
Edit: As for setting your font, Options>Edit Font. Once again, what you see in ShadowFX is not always what everyone else sees. Before claiming it does not work, use webchat and another passport to make sure.

Hi Ohio, and thank you. I was just logging in here to say I noticed that the welcomes were working, and so was the fonts. It confused me at 1st not being able to see some of my settings within Shadow. I will be using a 2nd computer now, to test out the options. I am looking forward to the new version. Any ideas when that will be released? Thx again.

By the way, how do I use that work around 821:/privmsg $chan :welcome back $nick Do I put that whole line in the raw cmd, and if so, what do I put in the trigger part?

Yes, I am new at this, and I have alot of dumb questions, but heres another. I re-loaded Shadow on another computer, and am having problems with connecting. I had this problem at 1st with my 1st computer, but somehow managed to fix it, and I don't know how. When I log into the chatroom, I know I am in it, but can't see a thing within Shadow. Any clues? Thx!

Ok, first things first. Make sure you have all the needed files listed in the needed files.txt file in the shadow folder. Secondly, pm me your email and I will send you a tutorial.

Ok, I got everything working. Thanks for everyones help. I have 2 things I hope come out on the new version, but maybe it's already in this version, and I am just missing it. 1) The ability to turn off sounds from the room such as kicks and stuff. I run Shadow on a computer that is used by others also, and don't want those sounds to disturb them. 2) The ability to change the font for my response messages.... And 1 last question, how long (how many words) can I make a response, it seems some of my responses get cut off and don't show up completely.

1: May be in the new version. Don't know if anyone suggested that before so may have been overlooked. I will mention it to Anthrax incase he does not see this.
2: This feature will be included in the new version I am sure. I do not remember the exact limit per line before your text is cut off. You will have to experiment a bit to find it. But you can use a seperator to put text out of limit on the next line. "This would be line one of text | This would become line two of text"
