i believe its a problem with the socket itself, i had a problem like that. I tried loads of ways, closing the socket, different ways of unloading, still didnt work. I just paused the program, then stop it. seems to work for me. (Dangermouse) well i cant see anything wrong with that :S but u both (ryan & lazer) r being so immature

yeah king but when making a program u dont think about your self... u shud think about users who will get angry when ur program crashes and get their explorer not responding... and start cussing you do u want that to happen... nah i think not cuz u r a good programmer Edit: always think about 3rd party users

My input (if it makes any difference ) 1. if you are performing a socket.close - are you using the msnchat control at all and closing the socket to that and not the server? if you close the socket to the chat control b4 you close the exploit it can freeze. 2. NEVER USE END reason , it just terminates the application and does not free up allocated memory used for forms and variables. you will end up loosing your resources if you do it often enough. you should ALWAYS use the unload method on forms and make sure you close them all before the last main form if using and MDI form. there my 2 points made
