You are right next to a river and have a 5 gallon container and a 3 gallon container. You need to measure out 1 gallon of water. How do you do it?

5 litre : 3 litre
0 : 0
fill 3 litre container 0 : 3
pour 3 litre container into 5 litre container. 3 : 0
fill 3 litre container again 3 : 3
pour contents of 3 litre container into 5 litre container until it is full 5 : 1
your left with 1 litre in the 3 litre container
edit : litre > gallon

lol such an easy one, i remember that in the movie die hard , except it was for 4 gallons which was... pour the 3 gallons into 5 gallon tank, pour another 3 in until its full leaving 1 left, then empty 5 gallon and pour left one gallon in and then fill 3 gallon and add to 5 gallon making 4 gallons , man im good ;D
