3) i know for a fact msn staff check this forum and what goes on inside it so bragging and posting exactly how you broke in by posting the connection code is just plain commercial suicide. Noooooo.... really ?

And as Alex said, they are underestimated, and you are the bigger fool for thinking they wouldnt find out if nobody said anything.

MSN are smarter then any person attempting to get past paying, you think they sit on their arses all day and get paid for it? Also tell me why they have all these qualifications needed to work for MSN, trust me, they would beat you anyday.

I have an idea... why is everyone trying to get onto MSN? They're so crappy now that they have morons (those who voluntarily pay), MSN8 subscribers (enough said), and script kiddies (no need to explain this either), and no legitimate people like Alex, DM, myself, and others.
I think we should all focus our efforts (when I say "all", I mean everyone excluding myself -- I think I'm sick of the chat control now) on making the MSN Chat Control do cool things. Or really anything else..
And no, I'm not back from the dead.. Just thought I'd keep my account active. That, and I can't be stuffed to keep up on topics.

why is everyone trying to get onto MSN? Because that's what they are used to.
They know how it works, what to expect, the fact that MSN is so user friendly (refering to webchat) that even the most cluless of people can find their way into a room or even create one.
Because it's easily accessibile on so many levels that's what makes it popular, general chatters have a reasonably decent and easy to use web interface, people just wanting to use mIRC could be lazy because of the lack of need to know a huge amount of general IRC based stuff and those in between get the best of both worlds with clients like Viper and Dominator.

Morons with MSN 8 subscribed accounts? Script kiddies? I am neither of those, and it p*sses me the hell off when people like you take a stereotypical view of something they clearly don't have a clue about, otherwise you'd realise some of the best coders are still on MSN.
If you don't like it, ignore it. Easy solved.

Well said Loon and Mik I'm sick and tired of peeps moaning about MSN chat and how sh1t it is. I've been on loads of IRC servers since MSN closed its doors in UK etc. and they are all as unstable as MSN ever was, in fact MSN is probably the most stable now, and i still enjoy scripting for MSN. In any case, my chatters prefer MSN chat for all the reasons Loon gave in his post

MSN is still one of the best servers around. I've experienced other servers (IRCd & IRCx), and I know what I like: MSN. Having been there for four years (minus a few breaks) I still find have a great passion for scripting on their servers.
Btw Dee, the name is Mike not Mik

Whats so " different " with other ircx servers? Or is it you just like the challenge of writing elite connections for their auth process

dm, too many irc clients for irc as it is, with pirch and mIRC and the other good ones, why bother scripting yet another no-where near good enough piece of junk for the same old stuff, MSN is one of those things that makes it a bit more fun cause we know most of the people who have written a script for the servers... more then u can say for the gazillion billion squillian terabytes worth of scripts and bots and clients for irc (slight exaggeration but still, theres just far too many irc things about, and msn is one of the few services which doesnt really have a large amount of em and doesnt have a perfect client around) if ya want a new service may i direct you personally to Yahoo! Chat

That made little sense If you mean its "elite" because you have to be "elite" to write a connection be on msn....LMFAO I think people seem to forget msn is just "rfc" ircx with a few modifications

no and i didnt say anything like that... basically i said that irc is full of clients and stuff already, why try and compete with mIRC and pirch, the reason many like programming for msn is because there arnt very many programs that work in MSN Chat and theres still a lot of things that can be done with it, reading what i said i cant imagine what made u think i ment that if u need it simpler... too many programs on ircd and ircx itself msn aint got much working stuff written for it its fun trying to push the service that bit further i mean why compete with mIRC, its better to cover different ground, no point remaking the wheel
